Celebration of benevolence

The 8th of May is the special day in the life of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movemenet. İnternational Committee of the Red Cross, İnternational Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies celebrated the esatablishing day of  Movemenet. As every year Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society holds events  related to this special day.

One of such events was held in State Musical Dramatic Theatre named after Huseyn Arablinski in Sumgayit city on 8th of May in 2012. Dr.  Novruz Aslanov, president of AzRCS and deputy of parliament, Rovshan Sadiqov, first deputy of Sumgaytit Executive Power opened the event by making a speech related to this day. The exhibition from disabled children’s handicrafts and activities was organized, video spot were presented and the presents such as note books and wheel-chairs were fistributed to each disabled children. The deputies of parliament, representatives from ICRC and IFRC Delegations in Azerbaijan, staff and volunteers of AzRCS, represenatives of  Sumgayit city habitants particiapted in the event.

The event was concluded with the concert program with the paticipation of honoured artists  such as Sevda Alekberzadeh, Lala Mammadova and popular singer Karim and others.
