On 26 December 2012, the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society jointly with “Pak Dad” network of restaurants and the European Lyceum organized a charity action for children in the orphanage situated in Surakhani district of Baku city. “Pak Dad” network of restaurants provided support to the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society in organizing of this charity action.

20 of December 2012 there were signed an official Agreement document between the Azerbaijan Red Crescent and the Austrian Red Cross Societies within humanitarian cooperation purposes. The agreement document is about next 3 years (2013-2015) cooperation under “Building Safe and Resilient Communities” joint project

The Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society extends even more its international cooperation and relations with foreign partners. Thus, on the 12^th of December 2012, there was held a meeting between a newly appointed ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Israel in Azerbaijan Mr. Raphael Harpaz and a president of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, deputy of the National Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan Dr. Novruz Aslanov

It is already 9 years that the date of the 12^th of December is observed by all Azeris as a day of mourning. Nine years ago, on the 12^th of December, 2003 the people of Azerbaijan paid the last tribute to nationwide leader and after that the date of the 12^th of December has become a day of mourning for each Azerbaijani. 

On 3 December 2012, the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society organized a solemn event in a song theatre named after Rashid Behbudov which is one of the most beautiful concert halls of Baku city. This concert hall is situated in the center of the city and people passing by this concert hall could see young volunteers with red crescent emblem.
