On 8-11 November, 2009 the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society (AzRCS) together with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) organized a final reporting meeting devoted to activities implemented by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement towards “Weapons Contamination” in Azerbaijan. The venue of the meeting was “Aqua Park” rest center in Novkhani settlement. Chairpersons of Gazakh, Agstafa, Tovuz, Gedebey, Goygol, Goranboy, Terter, Agdam, Agjabedi and Fizuli local branches of the AzRCS, the Executive Secretary of the National Society Mr. Baylar Talibov, Deputy Executive Secretary Mr. Shaban Shayev, “Weapons Contamination” program advisor Mr.Bayram Veliyev, Head of “Protection” program of the Azerbaijan Delegation of the ICRC Katja Gysin, a responsible person of the ICRC for cooperation with the Az.RCS Mr. Rasim Allazov, a manager of Mine Promotion department of ANAMA (Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action) Mr. Musa Jalalov, a senior official of the same department Mr. Vagif Sadigov participated at the meeting.

XXIII General Assembly of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society was held on 8th of December. Firstly the participants marked honorable member of AzRCS - H. Aliyev’s memory with a minute’s calmness. Dr. N.Aslanov- President of Society, Deputy of Parliament gave additional information about the changes happened in the life of Society during last year. He indicated the support of Government to humanitarian activities of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society financially and morally many people and participated in many projects at this period. International organizations considered the work of AzRCS sufficiently.

The 17th General Assembly of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (the International Federation) was held on November 18-21, 2009 in Nairobi, a capital city of Kenya. This capital city also hosted the Council of Delegates of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement on 23-25 November 2009.

The event was held related to “Worldwide Day of Struggle Against AIDS”. Dreadful Infective deceases affecting all humanity and alarming all the world existed in all times of the history. Dreadful HIV virus keeping all humanity in tension which is impossible to cure and AIDS caused by this virus exist in the world. The 1st of December is held as “Worldwide Day of Struggle against AIDS” in order to make people aware the people about spread of this virus and struggling against it. Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society as a part of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement acting under the slogan “General Support and Human Rights” realizes issues on awareness in the sphere of struggle against AIDS and held a lot of events.

We can call life after boarding schools as loneliness, lack of living places and jobs. Little hearts facing with great problems. Some of such children are obliged to live in streets, some of them are afraid of such life, hesitate to live independent life, such life completes with tragically end in many cases. The Government does his best in this way and signs a lot of contracts. As the largest and international humanitarian organization recognized by the state
