AzRCS impilements humanitarian projects on different themes. Specially, Society pays great attention to the awareneess on medical shpere . Such kind of projects are frequently organised  in educational centers for awareness of teenagers and children. The event was held in Kalbajar school № 126 in Masazir settlement of Absheron district  where refugeees and i.d.p’s get education on the 24th of January. “Migration” and “Health and care” departments of Azerbaijan Red Crescent hold such events together. The aim of the event was training first aid skills. Because, unpleasent events are faced in the life frequently and in such situtations the first aid to the injured person is very important.

Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society ( AzRCS) functioning in humanitarian sphere is the single represantative of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in republic. National Society covers a lot of actvities. Local branches of the Society are functioning in all cities and disrticts of republic.AzRCS impilements humanitarian projects on different themes.

Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society always serves vulnerable people relying on humanist, kindness, non-remunerated volunteer principles. During the recent years, our country has been conducting significant issues in this sphere, but there is still need for the propaganda (conduction) of voluntary, humanitarian principles in our Republic.

On 18-22 December 2011, the representatives of local and international organizations of Israel visited Azerbaijan. This visit was organized by “TAG International Development” humanitarian agency based in United Kingdom. The leadership of “TAG International Development” agency was also among the visitors. The Delegation which visited Azerbaijan was headed by a secretary–general of “TAG International Development” agency Mr. Matthew Fruhman.

The event related to “World-wide Day of Struggle against AIDS” and International Day of Volunteers” was held on 2nd of December in Mugam Center by the organization of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan. Qafar Askerzadeh, vice president of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society participated in this event as well as a large number of volunteers.
