The 10^th of May, 2013 is the 90^th anniversary of a birthday of a nation-wide leader, a builder of our independent state of Azerbaijan and a great state figure Heydar Aliyev. 

On 11th of May 2013 Chairman of Ukraine Red Cross Mr. Ivan Usichenko visited the Headquarter of Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society. During the visit he met with President of Azerbaijan RC, Deputy of Parliament  Dr. Novruzali Aslanov and discussed the possible cooperation between two National Societies.

On the 1^st of May 2013, with organizational support of Sumgayit Regional Center a simulation training on “Rapid response to emergencies that might occur on territory covered by Sumgayit Regional Center and coordination of activities of relevant bodies functioning in that region” was organized in Sumgayit Park of Technologies

Sabunchu local branch of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society conducted a number of events devoted to 150 years of the foundation of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement which is celebrated on 8 May

On 01-04 May 2013, the 3^rd advisory meeting of the International Islam Crescent Committee took place in Tunis city, a capital of Tunisia Republic. The Conference was organized by the International Islam Crescent Committee and the Red Crescent Society of Tunisia. The motto of the Conference was “Partnership and Cooperation in the field of humanitarian activity”.
